Origin: Bona, Sidama, Ethiopia

Altitude: ~2250m

Process: washed

Varietal: 74110

Notes: Peach Melba, Earl Grey, marmelade

This coffee is the 1st of our Elto commitments & marks the beginning of a new avenue for us in Ethiopia. Thanks to our friends at Crop2Cup, this is one of few washed coffees we have on the menu and it does NOT disappoint. Chosen because of its complexity and freshness. Big florals make way for some really nice stone fruit as it transforms into creamy earl grey to leave you surprised & probably pretty jazzed about it. Don’t take it from us though, you know the drill. Please remember to rest your coffee, especially these really dense Ethiopians.

About Elto:

Eliyas Dukamo and Atiklit Dejene ("Mimi"), the founders of Elto Coffee, are rockstars of Ethiopian specialty coffee—Eliyas comes from the storied Dukamo family that founded Daye Bensa, while Mimi cut her teeth doing QC for Gesha Village. Their own venture, Elto, operates two drying stations—one in Bona, one in Arbegona—focused on the production of high-quality and competition-grade microlots using industry best practices. The word "Elto" has a dual meaning in Sidama—meaning both "abundance" and "more than passion," summarizing the couple's intention for their enterprise.
