About David & Honduras

I met David for the first time at his home. It was hot, dry, and sweaty, but such a beautiful day it was. At that moment, the beans had been harvested. On the farm, lays still the thirsty soil waiting for the next rain, the still-green leaves of the coffee trees, wandering insects, and we, like the insects, wandered among the branches in search of the remains of David's work.

I went to Honduras this year with Jesse and the desire, dream of tasting a ripe, juicy, and floral coffee cherry for the first time. It was with David that my first experience took place ;-) After seeing roasted coffee for the first time, one doubts that all this begins south of the Tropic of Cancer and that before finding a good cup of filter coffee, we encounter these small, sugary burgundy fruits on the slopes of the vertiginous mountains. Surprising: as I said. A blend of sweet chili, sweet and honeyed flower, not bitter at all, a liquid as crisp as the reddest apple. Surprising, I said? It was like candy.

I feel blessed to have been able to taste my first cherry with an incredibly good guy like David. Shy on the outside, this man, who is the same age as me but surpasses me with two beautiful children, is a passionate and seasoned entrepreneur who continues the humble work of generations of families before him to cultivate exceptional coffee like this Gesha. We're pleased to share with you.

This Gesha isn't just coffee that tastes excellent, it's memories. It's like discovering a new fruit, talking about football in the back of a pickup truck, sweating, becoming friends, shaking hands with family, playing in the front yard. When Traffic lets you taste a Honduran coffee, it comes from the heart and the gut.

Take care and stay hydrated ✌️😎
