Nima Tenzing
Lekali Estate is owned and operated by Nima Tenzing Sherpa, one of the leading figures in Nepal's specialty coffee industry. A certified Arabica Q Grader, producer, processor, and roaster, Nima has spent nearly two decades helping establish Nepal as an emerging origin for high-quality coffee.
Located in the hills of eastern Nepal, Lekali focuses on producing specialty-grade Arabica through careful farm management, selective harvesting, and meticulous processing. The estate grows primarily Typica and Caturra varieties at high elevations, where cool temperatures contribute to slow cherry development and greater cup complexity.
In addition to producing coffee at Lekali Estate, Nima works closely with other producers throughout Nepal, sharing technical knowledge and promoting higher quality standards across the country's coffee sector. His work has played an important role in advancing Nepal's reputation within specialty coffee.
